ABOUT THE TRUFFLES:

Our chocolate truffles are an expression of our passion for sourcing quality ingredients and a way for us to build stronger relationships with our suppliers.

Chocolate Truffles have become one of our favourite creative outlets at Soul. It gives us the ability to shed even more light our passion for sourcing quality, local ingredients from producers that inspire us every day.

Since we are indeed chocolate makers, we decided to formulate our own chocolate couverture. Our couverture is simply chocolate that has added cocoa butter. This gives the chocolate greater flow characteristics while retaining great flavour. With this chocolate, we are able to cast very thin, crisp shells for our truffles.

Our truffles are sold in sets of 9. Each box contains 3 of each flavour.

SALTED CARAMEL:

These classic salted caramel truffles are made with Emerald Grasslands butter, Sheldon Creek Dairy 45% whipping cream, and our 60% chocolate couverture. It's unique shape provides a fun sensory experience. And the flavour? Well, you'll just have to try one to find out!

 

 

 

 

 

 

CHAMPAGNE:

Champagne truffles are one of the classics. We chose to make ours with Cave Springs Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine. It is blended with a white chocolate base which allows the dry, bread like qualities of the sparkling wine to shine through. For a little added fun, we sprinkled popping candy on the base of the truffles.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CINNAMON HEART:

When talking about Valentine's Day memories, eating handfuls of cinnamon hearts came to mind. We recreated the same flavour by using Goldschlager, a Swiss cinnamon schnapps. There is a bit of heat to this, but its not overwhelming. A layer of candied cacao nibs gives this truffle a bit of crunch.
